From the manufacturer
Hi. We make water bottles.
Why? Well, we’re a motley crew of dreamers and designers who live by a simple creed: “Do more of what you love.”
And we love designing things that make life a little bit easier and a heckuva a lot more enjoyable. We asked ourselves, with so many different kinds of water bottles out there, why do 3 out of 4 people still suffer from chronic dehydration?
So we rolled up our sleeves and got to work. We created what we believe to be the finest water bottles in all the land. Water bottles designed to help you do more of what you love. So, what are you waiting for? Go forth and carpe the diem—hydrated like a boss.
FreeSip Spout
What makes the Owala FreeSip so different than other bottles? The FreeSip has a patented 2-in-1 spout that rocks BOTH a built-in straw for sipping AND a wide-mouth opening for chugging. That’s right—two different ways to drink.
Easy to Clean
Designed to be quick and easy to disassemble, with minimal hard-to-reach surfaces. Lid and straw are dishwasher safe. Hand wash cup with Owala 2-in-1 Water Bottle Brush (sold separately).
Cup Holder Friendly Base
Because you’ll want to take this bottle everywhere, the 24-Ounce bottles are cup-holder friendly. Now you can stay hydrated on-the-go.
Keeps Drinks Cold
Triple-layered, vacuum-insulated stainless steel keeps drinks cold for up to 24-hours. Plus, this bottle is made from BPA- and phthalate-free materials.

Convenient and High-Quality
The media could not be loaded.
This bottle has a lot going for it, and it’s definitely worth sharing my thoughts on it.First off, the material of the bottle is excellent. The stainless steel construction feels sturdy and durable, making it perfect for daily use. Whether I’m taking it to the gym, or the office, I never have to worry about it getting damaged easily. The insulation is top-notch too, my drinks stay cold for hours, which is fantastic during these hot summer days. One of the standout features is how easy it is to use. The design is very user-friendly, and the FreeSip spout is a game-changer. It allows you to drink from it either by sipping through the built-in straw or tilting it back like a regular bottle. This versatility is super convenient, and I love that I don’t have to fiddle with different caps or lids. However, there are a couple of downsides to note. When my bottle arrived, the packaging wasn’t very secure. It didn’t come with enough padding, so the bottle could have easily been scratched or dented during transit. Thankfully, mine arrived in good condition, but I think better packaging could prevent potential damage in the future.Another minor issue is the material of the lid. While it functions perfectly, it tends to get dirty easily, especially if you’re using it outdoors or with makeup on your hands. It’s not a huge deal, but it means I have to clean it more often to keep it looking nice and hygienic.Despite these small drawbacks, the pros definitely outweigh the cons. The Owala FreeSip Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle is a fantastic product that delivers on its promises. The quality of the materials, the excellent insulation, and the ease of use make it a great choice for anyone in need of a reliable water bottle. It’s versatile enough for various activities and stylish enough to carry around anywhere. Cheers to staying hydrated!

Obsessed!!
The reviews don’t lie people. I ordered a 32oz bottle in Denim. Firstly the colors are so appealing, I’m just drawn to drink every time I see it. It is 100% leak proof which is great because I can lay the bottle down on my bed while I nurse my baby. The Free Sip spout is ingenious. I love being able to sip from the straw when I want to and also tilt the bottle back and chug when I want to. The straw is also super comfortable to drink from. Unlike anything I’ve seen. The plastic is smooth and glossy. Theres a silicone seal that pops off for easy washing, the straw comes off too and it also reaches very far into the bottom of the bottle so you don’t need to refill often. I think I fill it twice a day. The opening is HUGE so I can fit in huge cubes of ice and it keeps my water cold all day. The locking mechanism that keeps the cap closed/button protected also acts as a loop so you can hold it. Would not recommend clipping this size onto a backpack as it would likely get bounced around and dented. I have not a single bad thing to say about it. I spent $28 (sale price) and it was worth every penny. Will upload pictures of it soon. Now my kids each want one of their own. I think I’m going to splurge and buy and like 5 more. We live in a HOT climate and they walk/bus to school so high quality water bottles are a must. Whoever designed this product deserves all the awards. It is brilliant.

LOVE THIS BOTTLE
When I purchased, I didn’t know there was such a craze. I needed a new bottle, I’d just bought my teenager one, so I figured I’d grab me one too. Ysllt, this is THE BEST water bottle. I’ve left it accidentally in my car in the Mississippi heat for hours and still had ice in it. I’ve dropped it a few times (don’t let it drop on your foot, it’s a little heavy), no dings, the lid stayed closed. No metal taste like my other brands have had. I love that the “straw” is built into the lid, and the pop-off handle makes it easy to carry anywhere. My 32oz doesn’t fit in some car cup holders, it fits my Accord just fine. You won’t be disappointed.

I love her
I love my Owala so much she’s so cute & USEFUL. It STAYS cold, even if you leave your Owala in a hot car or direct sunlight for hours. I left my Owala in the car in the middle of summer for 6 hours. I came back & the bottle was burning hot on the outside, but the water inside was cold & still had ice. Can you imagine how refreshing that sip of water was after being outside for 6 hours????The gasket on the pop top comes off for cleaning, as does the straw. The 32oz is perfect for thirsty people like myself, but it’s too large for my cars cup holder.Beware of dropping it because the outside damages easily.

By far my favorite
I saw this bottle on several “things you need” lists. I did some looking and review reading and pulled the trigger.I bought t he 40oz version and I absolutely love it! My favorite thing is how much water I can pull through the straw at once. Not only is the straw nice and wide, but with the “chug” opening it allows for more air to back-fill the void, allowing for nice big draws of water. Previous bottles I’ve had only have a small hole in a silicone gasket that is very difficult to pull from. With this, I purchased a pack that has a silicone boot and ring. I both like and dislike these. The boot make it difficult to slide in and out of my backpack bottle pockets; but the boot also helps keep the bottle from moving around in my shop. All in al, I would buy this bottle 100 times more to give to people I like, to show how much I like them.

This bottle saved mine and my friends life.
I like a good water bottle as much as the next bottle enthusiast, but this isn’t a good bottle. It’s an amazing bottle. It’s the bottle.I have a friend, who will remain nameless, but for context he’s got an issue. He’s got a good size snoot, a honker if you will. We’ve known each other for the better part of a decade and even work together, but over the years he’s had issues with other bottles. First it was a themoflask with a narrow spout. I would see him drink from this bottle sideways all because of his schozzle. I couldn’t bear to have him drink like this, just watching him drink out of that bottle hurt me too. I sought out a wide mouth bottle to help fix the issue. When this second wide mouth bottle came along I recommended it to him and this seemingly fixed his problem. That was until my issue. We were drinking out of our matching bottles one day, when the car in front of us braked. He left a sufficient distance to bake safely but this didn’t stop the transfer of momentum. The water came rushing back through the wide mouth of the bottle, drenching me in ice cold water. Thus began another journey to find yet another bottle.Days, weeks, almost a month of mind numbing scrolling through bottles went by when this bottle came as a recommendation from Jeffery himself. The Owala FreeSip. The name itself intrigued me so I decided to proceed. I was flipping through the pictures when the reason for the name sake finally hit me. It shook me to my core. The ability to drink from a straw and a spout? Could this be it, the bottle to solve both of our issues? I immediately clicked buy now, not bothering to waste time on adding to cart. The next two days were excruciating. The human body can go about a month without food, but only about 3 days without water. Beginning to become dizzy from dehydration, I mustered everything I could to refresh the tracking page. Then it happened, the doorbell rang and I knew it was here. I rushed as quickly as I could to the door. With what little strength I had left, I grabbed the bottle, ripped open the packaging, and filled it. And to my amazement, it worked. After draining the bottle and taking a moment to be more refreshed than I ever had in my life, I stopped. In this pause all I could think about was my friend. He had been struggling just like I had, but arguably longer and I knew that he must be on the edge just like I was. I ran to my keys, making sure not to forget the bottle, and immediately went to the office. I drove dashing from lane to lane knowing that I probably didn’t have much time. After entering the building I ran to his desk only to find him there laying on a bean bag. I picked him up and gave him a drink.Once he came to he said “thanks for the water and for not spilling any on me.”I replied “don’t thank me, thank Owala.”And he said “who’s Owala?”All that I could do was laugh… Then I showed him. We both looked as we realized this solved both of our problems. I sent him the bottle just as Jeffrey did to me. And as he finished his last sip with the freedom to drink any which way he saw fit, we both stood up, jumped in the air and exclaimed “YIPPEE”All that I can say is thank you Owala for saving not only me, but my friend.

The perfect water bottle
This is hands down the best water bottle I’ve ever had. I love the streamlined loop. Sometimes you need a loop and sometimes you don’t. I love how it tucks out of the way when you don’t need it. I do not prefer a handle at all. I usually want my bottle to take up as little room as possible. The other feature I love is the straw and gulp from the same spot feature. I assumed when I ordered that I would need to decide each day if it was a straw sort of day or gulp. You don’t have to choose! You can guzzle and sip from the same spot.I love the fun colors. This bottle is not trying to be a knock off of anyone else.I suppose I am a little disappointed that it doesn’t fit in my car’s main cup holder. I think that’s a knock on the car, not the bottle. My prior car had a more generous cup holder. It does fit in the door.

I love my Owala
I absolutely love my FreeSip, so much so that last Saturday, I went to get my hair done and forgot my bottle at the shop, so I had to go back & get it. Thankfully my hair stylist texted me a pic of the bottle and I let her know I was coming back to get it. The thought of going a week without my bottle was awful, lol. I had to get on the highway, go North to go East and then back around heading West and then finally the off ramp south to I75. As I’m driving down the ramp, I see a huge plume of black smoke on the side of the highway. As I got closer, I noticed that now it wasn’t just smoke but flames shooting into the air! I managed to get all the way to the left shoulder and got past the truck that was on fire on the right shoulder, saying a quick prayer to keep me safe as well all of those around me cause you could actually feel the heat and I was afraid it was going to blow. Once I was past it, I was able to take the next exit and pick up my Owala. In hindsight, I thought to myself…why didn’t you just order another bottle?!? So you see, I literally (almost) went through fire to pick up my Owala!

owala everywhere
i got my first owala probably a year ago. i’ve slowly convinced my whole family to get their own. my parents, siblings, husband and now in-laws all have them (2 for sure purchased from Amazon). i have a white one. i drop it all the time and there are barely any scratches. my water stays cold at least all day. i love that there is a straw so i don’t have to tilt my head back. my husband (24oz) and i (32oz) take them everywhere. i recently got a new one and we use my old one for my dog.

Careful of the Straw…Otherwise Excellent
Overall, this is an excellent product. The only reason I’m giving at four stars is to let potential purchasers know that you have to be careful with the straw. I learned the hard way that when using the straw, I have to hold it over a sink when opening the lid. Especially, if I have something other than water in it. The reason being liquid will surge out through the straw. There may have been a warning in the instructions, but I missed reading it before discarding them. The good news is, you can remove the straw in situations where the consequences of having liquid spill out and potentially stain something could be a problem. My only other warning is keep in mind. It is not a light weight product and you just need to know that.Otherwise, it is an excellent product. It does extremely well keeping your liquid cool for an extended period of time. The flip handle works well.

Keeps ice cold for more than 24hrs
I love my new owala free sip bottle. I purchased on sale on Amazon to replace a hydroflask that I left at a friend’s house(live far far away). It is very easy to drink from the “straw” or to tip and drink it. I love the handle it comes built in with as well. I am always worried about dropping it though. I think it may scratch and dent easily so I am thinking about buying a protective boot and putting on stickers. Highly recommend this to keep your drinks cold even in the sun and by the pool.

This is my favorite water bottle by far!
I like to gulp drinks sometimes and also drink out of a straw sometimes and I can do that with this bottle. I saw their advertisement that said “Where have you been all my life” and that is just how I feel. I hate water bottles that have folding straws, because I feel like I can’t clean the straw part as easily. With this one, I actually prefer using the straw portion and it is SO easy to clean. I really love it!! I want one in every size and I love the color combo choices. The only drawback is that I’d love a handle accessory like a silicone grip that also had a flat handle I could slide my fingers under or even one that fits around the neck with a long strap. The 40 oz is awesome but chunky so without a strap my poor fingers strain a little to grasp it over time. I just got a 32 oz and that is much easier on my fingers. I will get a 24 oz soon I think. I sound like a sales person, but the 24 oz has varieties that have flat sides so you can grip the bottle better. I wish they had this feature on all of these. I think because they have to many fun colors, I will eventually have multiples of each size. They make me very happy. Also, if you are thinking of getting the silicone boot, (they say to avoid dents and scratches) I got one even though I thought it was totally unnecessary, but I love that too! Not because I really worry about dents on the bottle, but it feels more stable and I don’t worry about denting my wooden table. 😛 It’s a sturdy bottle!

Good quality for the price
While there are other “name brands” out there that are very pricey, I believe the quality of this bottle is just fine considering the fair price. I did an experiment on my own to compare this one to another name brand expensive bottle we owned; I filled both with ice to the top and then filled both with water. I kept them side by side and monitored the amount of ice remaining in the bottle for over a day until the ice had all melted. They were basically identical – in fact this Owala kept its ice a few hours longer than did the expensive, name-brand bottle. I’m pretty impressed!

Best water bottle I’ve had!!
I have used so many different kinds of water bottles and none have left me satisfied, but this one is the best one I have had!! I love the style of the water bottle, it is very unique. It keeps my water cool for a long time which is exactly what I need. It is comfortable to carry around. It isn’t too heavy which is really good. It fits in a back nicely. I take it everywhere with me!! I take it to the gym, school, and use it when I’m at home all the time. Very good water bottle and I would 100% buy another one.

One for each family member
I have tried so many brands and had issues with not being durable or mold. Not a fan of Stanley brand not just because it’s overpriced but also because l want to be able to put in the backpack. Tried one piece and then ordered one for each family member. Can’t stop raving about it. Perfect. Convenient at school/work and while driving. East to Cary and comes apart to clean deeply. The wide straw makes cleaning easier. Keeps cold forever probably!

Like Design, Question Durability
Purchased two of these bottles for a trip we took to Disney this summer. Overall, I was happy with the design of the bottle. Having the ability to swig or use straw is a nice feature (although I mainly used the straw). Drinks stayed cold for a long time, even while walking around all day in the heat. The issue I had was durability. Before we left our trip (first use of these bottles), the bottles already had paint chipping off of them. Not a lot, but enough to be disappointed. A couple of months into using them, one of the lids broke (push button to unlatch popped off). Granted, this could have been caused by a drop (it broke on my wife, not with me), but both of these issues lead me to believe the durability might not be great. The other bottle we got still works and I use it regularly. Overall, not a bad bottle, especially as they’ve dropped in price since I purchased them. Not a premium product, but definitely a good one.

Fantastic water bottle
I previously bought a 24oz one as a gift and absolutely loved the look and feel of it, so I decided to buy a 32oz version for myself (the color I chose is Boneyard, and it is a nice mint like color).I love that the straw part is covered and that it is completely leakproof.Insulation is pretty good. Keeps water cold for a long time (6 hours is the longest I’ve tried it, so that’s good enough for me) and if I want the ice to last longer, I just add cold water instead of room temp water because if not the ice will melt quickly (but that happens with pretty much every other bottle I own).It still keeps the water cold for a long time even if there is no ice.TBH I never really liked water bottles with straws (maybe because of the hassle of having something else to clean, and the whole plastic thing), but lately I have been spending a lot of time on my desk and I have realized that raising my neck to constantly take sips of water felt a bit uncomfortable after sitting and staring at my screen for hours, so the free-sip feature is definitely worth it.The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because it should have a metal straw (luckily there are some third party ones that fit), and because mine arrived dented (I was able to sort it out with Amazon, but it was still annoying).

Amazing water bottle
I love this water bottle. It’s a great size – bought the 40oz. Love the color. Wish I had gotten the boot when I bought the bottle because they don’t have the boot in denim anymore. The other color just don’t look right with the denim bottle to me. Will be purchasing the smaller bottles as well. I find myself only using the straw feature. It just feels different from using regular straws with other bottles. I try to use the “gulp” feature but always find myself drinking through the straw. I don’t mind it though.

Love
I bought this in the beginning of August. Son loved it so much… so did others in his class and it was stolen. He had it only 1 month. Bought another, but it won’t come until for another month or more. I know it’s silly to waiting that long for a water bottle. However, my son became attached to it. I wish there was a way to replace the original.

Perfect but hard to grip the big bottle
I brought this for my partner and he loves it! I love it too, honestly. The straw and spout versatility is so genius and perfect for folks to sip in their preferred way.My partner washes his every week to prevent build up. It insulates cold water incredibly well. While the handle at the too is easy to hold, the bottle itself is a little difficult to hold onto if you have small hands. I bought the bigger size and I find it difficult to grab onto with one hand. It will not fit into the drink holders in your car.Its a great water bottle overall

Sturdy
I LOVE these bottles, been using them for years. My last one lasted a good 4 years through many drops on all surfaces. I only had to replace it because I was unlucky and dropped on concrete and it landed top down, hitting the plastic lid which cracked. But four years is a pretty great lifespan for a water bottle, and I drop things A LOT. I didn’t have any trouble keeping it clean, very easy to wash as needed. Occasionally I will drop the lid in a bowl of water with a denture cleaning tab just to make sure there are no sneaky germs hiding in nooks or crannies. (I don’t have a dishwasher so idk how they do in those)

Perfect for putting in your backpack
I needed a water bottle that fit in the side pocket of my daughter’s backpack for school and was also leak proof. This bottle has fit the bill perfectly. It’s cute enough that my daughter likes it, even better than another brand with a straw that leaks when tipped even slightly.Keeps the drink cold and there is usually ice left by the time she gets home from school.Highly recommend if you’re looking for something leakproof that you can throw in a backpack.I’ve washed it in the dishwasher many times already and it still looks like new.

Loving this Water Bottle
Very, very happy with this water bottle. Bought to replace one that had been in desperate need of replacing for some time. Couldn’t be more pleased. I love the option to drink through the built in straw to or to sip through the spout. Insulation is fantastic, cold stays cold for a long time and ice melts very slowly in the bottle. Haven’t tested its durability yet, but it seems pretty strong – not worried about this at all. Colors are great too (forest green boot was not included)!

Best cup ever
The versatility of this cup is awesome! From the easy carrying handle to the 3 different ways to drink water- sip, little chug & big chug tipping it back make it seriously the best! Also it actually keeps ice cold for a long time because the lid isn’t clear. It’s virtually leak proof which is a huge plus & it’s held up great with my clumsy self & my kids dropping it a decent amount. Love this cup!

Best bottle !!
This bottle has been in my list since a long time to buy. A key point is its FreeSip lid, which offers convenience of both sipping through a built-in straw or swigging from a wide-mouth opening—no need to switch lids or straws. This design is particularly appreciated for its leak-proof locking lid, making it a reliable choice on the go or parents concerned about spills. Its stainless steel construction keeps liquids cold for up to 24 hours, adding to its practicality, especially in hot weather.

I love it
Could not stand the hydrapeak cap getting it on and off. I nearly broke a nail each time or got water splashed on me. The Owala is a screw cap. Also I don’t want to tilt my head back to drink. This is genius. The way the sipper is. And I didn’t realize it but the sipping spot was never covered. Now it is! Water stays cold more than 24 hours. The ring to hold the bottle is also great. Finally I can’t easily hold a bottle. I need some definition and this bottle has a very slight squared off indention to make it easy to hold. I also ordered the boot for it. I’m very happy with this bottle. I’m drinking fluids!

Best new water bottle!
I’ve only ever had bottles from Hydroflask and Takeya, but this one is starting to be my favorite out of them all. The bottle has a sleek silhouette, and I’m liking it more than my Takeya bottles. It’s leak-proof and can be easily used with one hand, which is super handy. Plus, it’s more budget-friendly than other popular brands, making it an excellent value.Compared to my Takeya bottles, this one shines in terms of usability and design. It’s now my go-to bottle for daily use. It’s simple to open, fits most larger car cup holders, and keeps water cold for hours. Whether you prefer to sip or chug, this bottle caters to both. The lovely color options are a nice touch. So far no issues with it – I highly recommend it!

Great for our 4 year old!
Our daughter’s old water bottle (different brand) was having major leaking problems so we really needed a new one for her. A friend recommended this brand and, so far, it’s been great! The color is super vibrant and I like the look and feel of the matte finish. We were a little worried the “sip or swig” mouthpiece/lid would be hard for a 4 year old to figure out, but she took to it really fast! The slight indents on the sides make it easy for her to hold, and it also fits in her car seat cup holder which is awesome. It says it’s top shelf dishwasher safe, but I’ve only hand washed it so far. I love the design of the removable silicone seals—they’re super easy to take out/put in for washing.

Realy enjoy this water bottle
I have never been one to enjoy water bottles. Always purchased bottled water from Costco. My wife wanted me to stop with all the plastic. I have tried about 6 different vessels and finally found one that I like. Has an easy to handle grip as well as:o bottle fits in cup holder in caro can drink from spout when really thirsty or straw when going for a walk or hikeo hold decent amount of watero has ‘handle’ to hold while walking. One change I would like is for the ‘handle’ to be a bit wider so I could easily fit two fingers to hold it. If yo have a small hand this will not be something you would even notice. I am getting used to using one finger.

Beloved in our home
This is our third bottle in this size in our home. We love the size of these bottles and this color was different and fun. These bottles are great quality and we find they don’t sweat at all. My husband loves this size and says the handle is comfortable eleven for his hands (which out size mine by a stretch.) While these bottles are pricier then some they are great value for the quality and longevity.

Great water bottles
I have been using these bottles for several years now and they are great, I love that I can use a straw or I can sip, I also love the versatile and bright colours they offer, right down to the straws are colored to match. I will say that the quality had slightly fallen but they are still great. The straws in these new ones drop out every now and then and I received one with a broken button not customer service was excellent, they emailed me and even sent me a coupon to replace the cover so I was happy. Couldn’t get back the same colour cover but there were some nice options available so I was happy.I’ve recommended to a number of friends and family members and even bought as gifts and they all love it.
Exactly what I needed! Hooks feel secure. –

Okay…I get why people are raving about these…
I was not happy about buying a $40 water bottle for my teenage daughter, but after trying hers… I’m now looking for one for myself. I understand the hype. The straw function alone makes me want to buy this water bottle for everybody in my family. The lid was hard to open… But I think that probably contributes to the leak proof, so I don’t think it’s a bad thing. The water bottle is well made and I know will last for a long time.

Love
Now I know what all the hype is about. I absolutely love this water bottle. The only thing that I am concerned about is the handle I got the 40 ounce so it’s heavy when it’s full , just hoping that the handle holds up. Other than that it’s a wonderful water bottle and I love the free spout and straw feature. Definitely a 10 out of 10 for convenience and ease of cleaning.

Probably the best bottle I’ve had
Before getting this bottle I didn’t like using straws, but having the option made me realize how convenient it is. I still wouldn’t buy a bottle that only has a straw, which is why this bottle is almost perfect. Almost perfect because after washing the silicone part on the lid with soap, it usually gets stuck with that smell, and it’s very hard to remove it. If they fixed that this bottle would be perfect.

Easily the best water bottle
My children received Owala water bottles from their Granny. I used one and really liked it. I ordered a couple more for my husband and me. It is the easiest water bottle to sip through the straw or gulp from the spout. Sounds weird, but it has a comfortable mouth-feel while drinking. Ice water stays cold the entire day, even in the hot car. I haven’t tried a hot drink yet, maybe some coffee this winter.

Kids love them.
My kids of course wanted Owalas after everyone else talked about how great they are. I bought them each one. My ten year old loves this one. He loves the sip or chug options. They are completely leak proof if closed properly which makes them great to slide into backpack drink holders. So far no dings from dropping which we all knows kids drop them constantly. The only thing that I don’t like as much compared to the kids hydroflasks or the Stanley cups is that they don’t hold ice as long. The water definitely stays cold but the ice melts much faster than other competitive brands. My youngest kiddo is also not as good at making sure the cap clicks shut so we’ve had a couple of leaks so maybe not the best for little kids.

I jumped on the owala train
It’s a really nice water bottle. I’ve had many other nice water bottles from Stanley to lululemon. And this one is actually leak proof which is what I needed. I can just throw my water bottle in my work bag or diaper bag and not worry that everything else will get wet. I can have it in bed with me like right now while I’m sick and it not spill everywhere. I’ve paid more for lesser quality so this is definitely worth the price.

Great Water Bottle
This bottle is very versatile. I hate lifting bottles to my face and typing them up to drink when I drive. I also hate sipping through a straw when I work out at the gym. This bottle gives me the flexibility on how I choose to drink. The bottle’s material is strong and I’ve already dropped it a few times with no damage. The lid works okay. I just wish it engaged a slight bit more. When the o-ring compresses, it sometimes seems to only catch the locking mechanism slightly and it will pop open. With a more form mechanism, I’d have confidence out won’t pop open and spill. This bottle just barely fits my cup-holder in my truck. If it was just slightly smaller in diameter and just a little taller to compensate, this would be the perfect water bottle. The bottle is easy to clean. Just make sure to get a pipe cleaning brush for the straw.I lost my first one at my grandparents house after owning the last bottle for a couple weeks (I swear my cousin stole it). I bought this second one immediately after, so I obviously would buy this again.

Close to my favorite water bottle- concerned with lid longevity
I have only had the free sip water bottle for @ 2 1/2 weeks, but it is close to my favorite reusable water bottle. Pro’s & Cons- I drink a ton of water throughout the day and have the 40 oz size, I don’t have to carry two separate water bottles during the day, but it is a little large to hold and I had to get an adapter for my car cup holder. The straw works REALLY well, and I like the option to use the straw or drink “normally” without a straw. I also like how the lid is streamlined and leakproof when closed and the option to use as a carry handle. Unfortunately, I am a bit concerned about how the lid will hold up over time. It’s only been two weeks and the carry handle appears to be showing weakness (photo’s attached), not sure if the 40 oz is too heavy for that handle or if it’s just a fluke. I did reach out to Owala customer service, they did respond quickly (same day) asking me to set up an account with them and submit a warranty claim. Again, the warranty claim was approved very quickly and I was issued a gift card to order a replacement lid. Unfortunately, there are currently no lids in stock and I don’t see the color option for the original water bottle that I have ordered. When I called customer service, they said more lids should be back in stock soon, however when I started to look at reviews on their website, there seems to be a common theme with the lids being out of stock or when a few come in, they don’t match the original water bottle colors. Crossing my fingers that they get in replacement lids before my lid breaks and that there is a color that comes close to my original purchase. I wish they would have just replaced it with what I ordered.

My first Owala
I bought a knockoff Owala but finally caved and bought the real thing off Amazon. This one is definitely a lot nicer and keeps drinks colder for a lot longer. I love the color, quality, and style. I cannot live without a straw but my kids are always trying to drink out of my cup and then spilling it. This way I don’t have to lose my straw but can still lock the top in case it gets knocked over.My only issue is that I bought the 32oz size thinking it would still fit in my car cup holder but it does not, and I didn’t know that I actually prefer it. I actually prefer a bigger water bottle (think 40oz plus) but cup holder is negotiable.I didn’t know.

Super Impressed With This, My New Favorite Water Bottle!
This Owala FreeSip insulated bottle is simply awesome! Its slim and sleek design is super convenient, and the 24oz version even fits perfectly in my car’s cup holder. I love the built-in handle that helps keep the lid secure, and the push-button top with a rubber seal does a great job at keeping it leak-proof. The coolest feature is the dual drinking options, a uniquely built-in straw for sipping (designed right into the mouthpiece) and a normal wide mouth for chugging, which adds great versatility. The straw is also removable for easy cleaning. It keeps drinks incredibly cold for a very long time, and the vibrant colors make it stand out. This is easily my new fave to carry around every day! Highly recommended!

I hate how much I love these expensive waterbottles
Title says it all (kinda). I absolutely love these darn trendy waterbottles. I’m SO TIRED of buying waterbottles for my kids that are impossible to clean. I bought one of the larger ones for myself and I just love it. The option to sip from the straw or tilt isn’t necessary for me, but an oddly awesome feature, they’re fairly sturdy, and I love that there’s a functional, sturdy lid/cover for the mouthpiece. Keeps water pretty cold though I doubt it would be the best for someone who’s really counting on it for, say, a long hike in extreme heat, but it works well enough. I never experience leaks unless I forget to put the rubber piece back in the lid (oops). Due to how easy they are to hand-wash, I just don’t mind as much if I can’t put them in the dishwasher (and I think they are semi-dishwasher safe at least?). I think the price is really high, ESPECIALLY for a kids waterbottle because we all know those creatures just LOVE to lose stuff, but my 3 year old has one as his designated daycare waterbottle and my 5 year old’s travels to-and-from kindergarten with him. We’ve only had one spill incident – the 5 year old forgot there was the tilt/spout part and got a little overzealous, but so far they’ve been really awesome. Love how they wash, they’re durable, they’re oh-so-trendy. As long as we don’t lose them, I’m embarrassingly happy to spend the money for a waterbottle that’s easy to clean, sturdy, and functional.

cutest and best water bottle!
I absolutely love this water bottle! The 32oz is much more convenient as it’s not too small or too big and this color is simple but so cute. Water stays cold for so long and the built-in straw is so convenient for easy sips. Washing this bottle is super easy. This water bottle is leak-proof, keeps me hydrated, and is a super cute essential! Definitely recommend Owala’s water bottles!

Love it
This is perfect as a water bottle. It is heavy duty and tough. The paint on it hasn’t chipped or come off in any way as tall and I have had it for a while. This is only for cold liquids, not hot, but I bought it strictly for water. I carry it on our morning hikes and take it with me for yoga, cardio, etc. It keeps the water cold a long time if you keep it shut. That is absolutely my favorite thing about this and the reason I chose this bottle. The straw is built in and you can shut a cover over it. Your straw isn’t hanging out ready to catch any viruses or germs that are in the air or on whatever surface might come in contact with it. I can grab this and pop it open, get a drink, and re-close it with one hand. Once you snap that top on, not a single drop of water will come out of this thing. You can shake it around, carry it upside-down… whatever, it will not leak. If you see any water droplets in the photos, it is because I just washed it. It comes in 16, 24, 32 and 40 ounce sizes. I chose the 24. It is the perfect size for me… enough to get through a whole workout or hike, but not some huge, heavy thing I have to lug around. It even has a little flip up handle on top that you can carry it by. I fill it up in the afternoon before I workout and again before bedtime to leave on the nightstand overnight. In the morning, I add water if needed and take it on my hike. Then I wash it with the breakfast dishes and it is ready to go again. It comes in lots of color choices from subtle to bright, so you can make it fit you. I went with classic black on black. If anything ever happens to this one, it would have to be that I lost it because I think that is pretty indestructible, but if anything happens to it, I will buy another one exactly like it! Love it!

My favorite water bottle yet!
This water bottle is absolutely amazing! I’ve tried other water bottles (Yeti, Hydro Flask, and other off-brands) And this one is my favorite. IMO it doesn’t keep things as cold as the Yeti or HydroFlask, but my Owala shines in design, and ease of cleaning. This this is so easy to clean, the rubber parts can pop off easily to be cleaned (The inner rubber ring is more difficult, but I usually just soak that part). The dual sipping mechanism is amazing, and the built-in handle makes it all the more appealing. It’s also very stylish and I’ve gotten many compliments.Honestly if you want something for everyday use where you’re inside, this will get the job done. If you work outside or if you’re hiking, I would recommend a Yeti because it keeps it colder. My Owala is s great, lightweight alternative though.

Nice water bottle, easy to drink from, well designed
Well designed water bottle, keeps the water at the temperature you want, easy to drink from, easy to clean (you do need a straw brush to clean the inside of the straw in the bottle), and nice and water tight when the lid is closed. The design of the carrying handle is perfect. When it’s down it covers the button that opens the lid keeping it from opening accidentally. When its up it works well as a carrying handle.

obsessed
The whole thing about being able to choose whether you use the straw or tilt it to chug is awesome and all, but mainly I was scouring the internet for a bottle that had some kind of straw mechanism that wasn’t (1) on a spring-loaded flippy thing that would eventually wear out and stop working, (2) wasn’t open to the air where it could collect other peoples’ geeeeerms when I took it around everywhere with me, and (3) didn’t have some kind of screw-top or other cap that I wouldn’t be able to open one-handed. DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD THAT IS TO FIND? I do.Literally, Owala was the only brand/bottle I found that checked all three of those boxes. THE ONLY ONE. So even though it was a little more than I would normally pay for a water bottle and I hated that I couldn’t customize my colors, I decided to give it a try. And lo, I found the light and the heavens blessed me with a (near) perfect water bottle.I’ve used my bottle pretty much all day every day since purchasing it several months ago and it works as well now as it did when I first bought it. I do worry about the spring-loaded lid release eventually wearing out, but it hasn’t yet with constant use (and more than occasional extra use for funsies). The only sign of wear over time is that there are a few small (aesthetic/surface) scratches on the outside from a couple times when I dropped my bottle on concrete and asphalt. I wish they weren’t there but it doesn’t affect anything except my delicate eyeballs. My only qualm with the bottle’s near perfection, which seems entirely unavoidable from a design perspective, is that ice cubes inside of the bottle make a lot of noise when sloshing around and bumping up against the metal interior. When you work a job that sometimes requires near-complete silence, that noise can be an issue. For most, it probably wouldn’t matter in the slightest (when I’m at home, I don’t even think about it). I don’t blame Owala for this. But if they solved it, then it would be the holy grail of sheer perfection designed to hold ambrosia for the gods. Until then, I feel honored to partake. The handle is convenient for carrying. The shape of the bottle (flat on the sides) is a clever touch that makes it easier to grip for twisting off the top and such. It fits in average cup holders. It’s leakproof when the lid is secured well and the cap is clicked into place. The button to open the cap is strong (works well) and is easy to press. If the handle is down (it gently clicks into place if you fold it down), it covers the button and prevents any accidental presses. That said, while it could theoretically be pressed accidentally if you leave the handle up/open all the time (like I do), it has never happened to me.The inside is metal, which keeps the insides cold for ages (with ice). The straw is plastic, which stops the water from tasting like gross metal water bottle. The outside is… not-metal, which means the sun can be directly on the bottle and warm the outside while the inside is still ice cold and, more importantly, that there’s no condensation on the outside getting everything around it wet (bane of my college existence 😐 ). Vinyl stickers adhere well to whatever the outside material is.It disassembles into straw, lid, and bottle for cleaning, and the the shape of the lid makes it a lot easier (and way more sanitary) to clean than any other straw-based bottle I’ve had/used. I run the lid and straw through the dishwasher occasionally. I think the bottle recommends hand washing but I forget; in addition to hand washing, I occasionally do a polydent cleaning to eliminate any odors and ensure all bacteria are dead af. It works like a charm. This is a 100% honest review and I generally try not to fangirl or gush excessively: this bottle is /that/ good. I legit recommend it for anyone looking for a water bottle (unless they prefer the big mouth/screw-top kind) and am very seriously considering buying one for everyone in my family.

Water bottle ranking
I like carbonated water, so I installed a reverse osmosis filter and bought a sparkling water maker. Now I just need a nice water bottle. One that won’t leak due to pressure, and one that will keep the water cool. And that’s how this story begins.#0 – Bottles that come with Soda Stream or Philips soda maker are great as they won’t leak, but they also don’t keep water cool as they are not insulated.#1 – Owala – description says that you shouldn’t use it for carbonated drinks, but if not using the straw this bottle works fairly well. It worked for a long time before it started leaking if I carbonate water a lot. Five stars as it’s the most convenient bottle yet and they clearly say to not do what I’ve been doing. In terms of holding carbonated water, it has third place here.#2 – Takeya – No mention about carbonated drinks in the description. Leaks from day 1. It seems to hold water cold the longest out of all the bottles, but having a screw-on cap/lid I thought it should work well. Even if I use all my force to close it and put it upside down, it will immediately leak. I can even hear the pressure escaping after pouring freshly carbonated water and closing it.#3 – Sigg – “The Shield ONE is fully spillproof. Enjoy your favourite drinks even juice or carbonated ones as this SIGG water bottle resists it all.” and yet it leaks. Can’t put it inside the bag next to papers and laptop. Zero stars as they clearly promised something and the bottle didn’t deliver. Lid is closed by a tiny tab just like #1, so I didn’t have much trust in it from the beginning.#4 – Thermos FJK-1000 – “Screw type bottles for carbonated beverages. Twist the lid slightly to release pressure and open the lid easily”. It doesn’t leak, but putting on the cap is really annoying. It’s easy to cross-thread the cap and requires a fairly large amount of rotations before it’s secured. This bottle takes second place on this ranking. Spout is also fairly large so it’s easier to spill the water than other bottles.#5 – Parnoo – weirdly enough, cheapest bottle here (not including #0) and yet it does its job the best. I had it for the longest time and it never leaked. Has medium sized spout, so it’s not as convenient to drink from it as #1, #2, or #3, but smaller (and therefore better) than #4. One thing I don’t like that much is that the ice I have doesn’t fit. This is my favorite bottle here, one that I used the longest, and one that was the most reliable. So in terms of holding cold carbonated water, ranking from best to worst looks like: #5, #4, #1, #2, #3.If you don’t want carbonated drinks, then #1 is the most convenient to use.

The magic is in the lid
I love this water bottle. I picked up the 24 oz from Walmart a couple years ago and instantly fell in love with it. It went with me everywhere. And kept me hydrated. I loved it so much I recently purchased this 32 oz version. The versatility of the lid cannot be understated. The push button open, the handle that doubles as a button cover so the cap doesn’t open in a bag, the straw paired with a wide opening for gulping and easy refill, you can even overfill the bottle into the lid for an extra ounce or two of liquid. I’ve used it for water, soda, and other cold beverages. The gasket in the cap is easily removed for cleaning and sanitizing, which I recommend doing on a regular basis. If you take care of this bottle, it will take care of you.I have dropped my 24 oz bottle a number of times even on the lid and it has maintained integrity and functionality. Though the bottle itself it is a little dinged up it is still works perfectly well. The insulation is excellent and it has stayed cold for hours even without ice, and over a day with ice. The 24 oz has an ergonomic design that is easy to hold. The 32 oz is a bit chunkier but my big man hands can hold it just fine. And the loop on the lid makes it easy to carry around. Though I prefer to throw it in my backpack if I’m carrying it around all day.I have noticed that if you have ice in the bottle and jostle it around too much, the ice can knock the straw out of the lid. But it’s easy to put back in so it’s not the biggest issue.Overall I highly recommend this bottle. It will last you for years and it is so practical and functional it’s hard to come up with a better alternative.

best water bottle design ever
As a designer with a background in user-centered design, I am constantly disappointed by water bottles because they are never designed thoughtfully with us (the bottle user) in mind! But this is the BEST insulated water bottle I’ve tried. Here’s why:1. I love that the straw is PLASTIC and not rubber so therefore doesn’t get stuck to a weird taste if you fill your bottle with another strong-tasting liquid other than water (i.e. coffee, tea etc…). It also makes it easier to clean.2. It’s great that there are two holes: for sipping (without the need to tip the bottle) and pouring.3. The fact that the mouth piece is covered. I hate when straw-lid mouth pieces are exposed because sometimes bottles can be dropped, dust or dirt can collect on it, etc… it’s just a more sanitary solution.4. Water is so accessible with a single hand. It actually fits for the most part in my car cupholder, and with the push of my thumb the bottle opens up. It’s really handy for when I’m driving and want water, and the protectant handle doubles as a carrying handle.5. Of course the colors are very cute!No more spilling on myself with an open-mouth lid, stained rubber straws, material withering away because of the material choice being sub-par, leaky bottles, thick bottles that never fit in holders. Overall, I am most impressed with this bottle’s ergonomic design and the team truly thought out the user experience of drinking. I’ve been recommending this bottle to everyone I know lol.

Sometimes you get what you pay for.
So the husband came home from our local big box with one of these for himself and ngl but I raised my eyebrow when he told me the price tag but our old thermoses were on their last legs so I shrugged my shoulders and forgot all about it.About a month later, we went on a day trip to visit the family in the next town over and, of course, we brought our thermoses.Later that night on the way home, his still had ice and water while mine had been completely finished long before. Impressive enough that the ice lasted in a hot car in Arizona on a 105F day for several hours but what got to me was the little inbuilt straw when I took a sip of his water.I REALLY liked that it could be fully covered by the cap when it’s closed– far more hygienic than those ones that just fold down.Okay, so that got me onto Amazon to check it out, which is where I found the third and final point that saw me splurging on one for myself: just about everything in the cap, including the cap itself has replacements easily available.Annnd that was that, really.I mean, yeah, my old thermos kept it cold at least long enough for me to finish my water, and I did still have the metal cap even if the handle (like the other cap that had an inbuilt straw) had broken long ago, BUT, I seriously missed the straw feature so I could have a sip while I was driving and I honestly did not know how much longer that remaining lid was going to last. So, yeah, sometimes you get what you pay for. Is this bottle pricey? Oh definitely! But, otoh, it has all the features I could need or want AND I see no reason why I can’t be using it 20 years from now.So, if you’re debating on whether or not to get this bottle, take it from me and stop debating and just get one already.

Keeps my water cold in Texas summer heat
I got this water bottle about a month ago and I have been using it every day. I love the dual use of the spout as I really wanted a water bottle to replace my swell, that I had for about 7 years, with a straw. This is perfect since I can chooses how I want to drink. The second thing I enjoy is the color. I love this pale green bottle which matches my color scheme for my items so well and I have yet to see it among the prominent bottles I see all the time among my community. I bought a bottle boot in a warm dark blue that matches the tab button and I find the color scheme works perfectly. I have knocked my bottle over multiple times and I have had no dents. It is light enough to hold and encourages me to drink water where ever I go. Great investment and I hope to use it for the next 7 years like my swell bottle.

I love this!
This water bottle is beauty & function all in one! The colors are vibrant and the bottle is very well insulated & keeps the liquid inside cold for a very long time. I love that the mouth is wide enough to easily allow Ice cubes to be put inside. I also really like the way that the lid snaps down & stays down until the button release is pushed & it pops up. The carrying loop on the cap is also very useful & allows me to carry the bottle using one hand. I much prefer it over the Stanley cup. I recommend it to anyone looking for a new water bottle.

Cool bottle, just a few draw backs
For the price I paid this bottle kinda… eats. But also for the price I paid it has some draws backs. The drinking mechanics of this bottle is super cool. I like the duo of the straw and the open spout. I love switching between them with my normal bottle and this one makes it 10x easier. Opening mechanism is cool. Don’t have to many thoughts on it tbh..Now for the drawbacks first thing I noticed was how flimsy and cheap the straw felt. Yeah it’s plastic but it doesn’t seem tough at all, like I could bend it and have it snap.Secondly I’m not the lid of the bottle has a silicon, rubber type of material, which gets dirty extremely easily and with that damaged as it’s easy to make marks in with even just my finger nail. The insulation of this is nothing astonishing. I love cold water in the middle of the night and this hasn’t done much for me. Best cup for late nights I’ve had is a Stanley.Overall average cup! Don’t spend an arm and leg on it. Buy an Amazon standard water bottle. That one lasted me a year for around the same price. I’ll update on longevity around that time.

Better than Name Brand
We now own 3 of these and my honest opinion is they are better than the name brand. These are made very durable as my younger child carry’s one and it’s been dropped rolled and everything else and still works great. We can put ice water and fill it up and know that it will still be ice cold for 24 hrs and there’s been sometimes longer. I love how the lid has the locking mechanism on it so you won’t have accidents. Dishwasher safe I’ve not had any problems with it and they’ve been washed several times. I’d definitely recommend to friends and family before buying anything else.

Owala water bottle
I love my owala bottles. This is my second one and I love it so much.I prefer the 32oz to the 24oz, but the bottle has a subtle texture to it that helps make it easy to grip. The bottle isn’t a perfect cylinder, so it has two flatter sides that help with the grip. This is my second Owala bottle And I feel that they are so durable. I’ve had my other bottle for nearly a year and it just has one dent in it and I use it every single day. These bottles keep my water cold all day long And there is never any condensation on the outside of the bottle. Also the colors are so fun!I also love that you can take everything out of this bottle and really clean the stew and under the seal.I also recommend checking out the little sleeves/ boots they offer to give it a little extra grip so it doesn’t slide around on your table. Also, it adds a nice fun pop of color!

Your new favorite water bottle
Package arrived on time, and in good condition as described. I’d gone through a few water bottles, and none of them had been as great of an experience as this Owala bottle. Saw a friend had one, and I was intrigued by all the features it had: The two drinking apparatuses (Chug or sip straw), the stainless steel body design, the button click hinged opening to keep the bottle shut, and the ringed loop for easy carrying on the go. It’s slightly smaller than my previous bottle, but it gets the job done and I intend to take good care of it.

Are you freaking kidding? I wish I had known about this bottle sooner. It’s my favorite one I own. Goes with me to gym, work, friends houses, the couch, bed, walking, and everywhere in between. This bottle honestly makes me hurt for those who go around holding their Stanley cups.If you have a Stanley or any other metal cup for that matter, stop, drop and roll and do yourself a favor and get the Owala bottle.Pros:This bottle has a typical pour back bottle mechanism for those of us who don’t like straws. But it also has a sip function which I love! The sip function makes it easy to take a sip of drink while driving, laying back (not all the way down) on the bed or couch. The handle makes transporting the bottle easy when toting other things around. And also serves as an extra lock function for the lid. There is a secure cap that locks in place to cover the drinking spout. This prevents accidental touches to the place where you mouth is going. The lid (NOT the bottle body or straw) is dishwasher safe! The mouth piece (for sipping) is very comfortable, though it took me a minute to get used to it. I am used to straws and this was an odd sensation for a few days. Now I feel I can’t live without it.The colors are fun and I’m a sucker for a “color block” look.Cons:I wish the straw was metal. Plastic straws weird me out and wear down easily.32oz Doesn’t fit in most car cupholders and will require an adaptor piece to make it fit. Otherwise you’ll have to place it on the passenger seat and it’ll be whipping around with every break, turn, acceleration and stop. (Can confirm the main console cup holders on 2024 RAV4 fits this bottle.)Get this bottle, you won’t be sorry.Oh and Target sells them, so if you wanna go check out how they look and feel, that’s a great place to look. I got mine off Amazon cause they had better color selection.

Doesn’t Leak!
In our experience, this product does what it says it will do.Pros:It does not leak; unless you screw the lid on wrong, and you’ll see that straight away as it will look crooked. It keeps our cold liquids at the same temp as when we added them for the 24 hours claimed; unless you leave the cap open, and then, of course it won’t stay cool.We love the colors we chose; but it would have been awesome to have been able to choose the blue/light blue HP one, without the HP symbol. Surprise! We don’t like HP.Cons:For my 9 year old, the lid button is a little difficult to use. She can still open her own bottle, but I wonder if all of the bottle lids are the same; such as the ones marketed for children?Ideas for the company:What would be super cool is if we could mix and match whatever color top we want with whatever color bottle and have the boot included for a little more, but as an incentive, not make it as expensive as buying the items separately. I noticed that only some bottles were sold with a boot.Make all of the colors you sell available without the extra branding. ie. Star Wars, Harry Potter, etc.

Outstanding Item
This is a review of the Owala FreeSip Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle. Outstanding item.I recently had major surgery, and spending an increased amount of time in bed recuperating. However, hydration is a very important part of the recovery process, so I was obviously in the market for a water bottle. Now, there are endless water bottles on the market, but I saw an on-line blurb about this Owala bottle, so I gave it a try.It is very impressive. First, it keeps water cold/cool for quite some time; if you put an ice cube in the bottle (and the opening is quite large), it might actually keep your drink cool for more than 24 hours. Even without ice, my water kept cool for many hours here in the New York summer weather. Another very nice thing: it has a built-in straw. The top of the bottle (which closes very securely) allows you to either ‘gulp’ the water through a large opening, or ‘suck’ the water through the built-in straw (in a separate opening). And this is a large bore straw, not one of those annoying, very narrow straws that cause you to make all sorts of facial spasms to get the liquid in your mouth. A very well-built container.Just a side note: the company does not recommend putting carbonated or hot liquids in the bottle. Safety first. My verdict: 5 stars.
